1.     Oracle Developer v1.6.1 Desupported on AlphaOpenVMS

Effective 31 December 2001, Oracle Corporation announces the end of error correction for Oracle Developer v1.6.1 running on the Alpha OpenVMS platform.  Please note that this is a one -year extension from the original end of error correction date of 31 December 2000.

After 31 December 2001 only Extended Assistance Support will be provided.  This provides for telephone and electronic support only consisting of the following:

2.     Holiday Schedule Reminder

ITEC and Buffalo State's officeswill be closed for the college's Winter Pause beginning the afternoon of December 22, 2000 and will re-open on January 2, 2001.  Professional staff willbe available by REMEDY oremail.  Also, emergency cell phone numbers are recorded on our voice mail message at 716-878-ITEC (4832).  REMEDY is the preferred method for contacting ITEC.

REMEDY tickets can be created and viewed from our home page at www.itec.suny.edu.

Email messages should be sent to the group and not an individual.  This way if an individual is not available the email is still monitored.  E-mail addresses are asfollows:

3.     Power Shutdown Reminder

Buffalo State and ITEC will be without power on December 27th  between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. in order to fully reconnect another building on campus that has been under renovation.  Although the campus expects the work to be completed as indicated, severe snowfall or extremely low temperatures could force a postponement to the next day.
