How do I update Maple 12 with new term purchase codes

You will not need to reinstall the software. You will need to update your license files only. This can be done without having to uninstall and reinstall Maple 12. For single user installations of Maple 12, users will get a warning approx. 14 days prior to the license expiring that their Maple 12 license is going to expire. In that warning they will get the option to Activate, Keep Going, or Visit the Webstore. When you have your new Maple 12 codes you will simply need to Activate again using the new code. Your network installations will simply require new network license files. These can be requested using our offline activation service at http://www.maplesoft.com/contact/webforms/offlineactivation/ or through the automated activation (which network administrators should be familiar with now).

Maple license files: license.dat and Maplex.lic.  What do I do with them?

All campuses under the Maple SUNY-wide contract were sent two email attachments: license.dat and Maplex.lic. Be sure you are using the current license term file.

The license.dat file is for the single use install. After the install, find the Program Files/Maple x/license directory which already contains a license.dat file which should be empty. Replace this with the license.dat file you received.

The other attachment contained the Maple95.lic file which is for the network install. Documentation on how to use this license file is located in the d:\install.html file.
