Information below is for a sample campus of 5,000 - 10,000 students.
Recarding Space Selection/Reservation
- Considerations:
- Room dimension - minimum size 50 x 80

- Carding location must be a secured space
- 3 separate 20 AMP service
- Dim lighting is preferable (ambient lighting)
- Room reservation to include 24-36 hours of set up time & 8- 2 hours of breakdown time
- Traffic flow considerations
- Fire/safety review
- Implementation Team requires modem line in room
Recarding Provisions (Provided by Campus)
- Material Considerations:
- Tables (8 x 3) require minimum of 15
- Table skirting
- Rope dividers for traffic control/room organization materials
- Chairs - minimum of 35
- Extension cords
- Easels - 3 or 4 (optional) mirror (optional)
- Other Considerations:
- Receiving area address information contact
- On-campus shipping/movement functions
- Overnight delivery arrangements
- Security/Public Safety assistance
- Nightly carding room clean-up
- Trash services (including recycling considerations)
- Availability of document shredder
Recarding Staffing Requirements
Suggested: 12 full time personnel per carding shift to assist with process.
- Full time positions:
- Greeting area/traffic flow (1-2 staff)
- ID verification (1-3 staff)
- Card equipment operators (4 staff or 1 person per camera station)
- Runner for ID card delivery (1 staff)
- Public Safety (1 staff) may be used part time
- Facility maintenance (1 staff)
